¶  Second Grade-Mosaic Portraits

  • Second Grade is dangerously close to finishing this project.  They are looking AMAZING!

¶  Third Grade- Blazing Banyan Tree

  • As you know we started this project before the break.  I can’t wait to post pictures for you to see.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret

December 1st, 2011 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

In our 4th grade Art sessions we are exploring the AMAZING art work of Brian Selznick.  He is the Author and Illustrator of The Invention of Hugo Cabret.  In class we are creating our own illustrations of a city skyline and then doing an overlay of a clock tower.  The inspiration for this came from the drawing you see above.  If you are able to purchase this book for your child, I highly recommend it.  I read it over the Thanksgiving break and fell in love with it.  The movie from the book titled Hugo is also in theaters right now.  However, I would read the book before you see the movie.  Enjoy!!!
